Calling all emerging museum professionals (anyone in the first 10 years of their museum career path). The Association of Indiana Museums (AIM) is proud to debut her newest affinity group, the Hoosier Emerging Museum Professionals (EMP).

About EMP: The goal of the Hoosier EMP group is to foster career development and networking opportunities for those in the first 10 years of their museum careers. Other EMP groups throughout the nation consist of a wide array of participants varying from students to mid-life career changers. This may be done through informal networking gatherings or in the form of educational programming, résumé workshops, or other events oriented around career-building.

About the Event: This event will be a casual gather where EMPs will be able to gather, network, and engage with others in the community. This will be a non-catered, open-house event; meaning, you can sit down for an entire meal or if you are on a budget, just grab a drink. Attending EMPs will also be able to meet and greet several AIM Board members.

Attire: Although the atmosphere will be loose, we recommend relaxed-office or dressy-casual wear.  RSVP: RSVP on Facebook or Indiana Museum People so that we can reserve the appropriate amount of space. Questions: Contact: Tiffany Hatfield, AIM Executive Director; tiffany@indianamuseums.org • 317-234-5255 or Lisa Simmons, AIM Board Member and Fellow EMP, bloomingtonlisa@gmail.com • 812-679-8167.
