Mission

It is the mission of the Association of Indiana Museums (AIM) to provide a network for Indiana museums, offer resources and training, and advocate for their advancement.

Some of AIM's services include the Annual Meeting and Conference, AIM Roadshows, the biennial Directory of Indiana Museums, an Annual Report to members, The Bulletin newsletter, a website, and partnerships with other organizations that will benefit the Indiana museum community.

From AIM's 2007 strategic planning period, the above mission statement, the purposes and vision statements, and a reorganization of the board were approved at the annual meeting in September 2007.

The Statement of Purpose:

The purpose of AIM is to support and advance the museums of Indiana.

AIM's Vision Statement:

By building a vibrant museum network, AIM will create opportunities for the advancement of Indiana museums and enhance their value to their communities.
